These are great sewing tips that will make your sewing a  happy  and easy journey.

Thanks to Stephanie - Stitchin'Time,  and  Cindy - Starlight Dreams from  www.oregonpatchworks   that allowed me to post their  own contribution sewing tips..

*****TIP*****

1. For t-shirt backing, use old drapery sheers--it works wonderful with no puckering and is nice and light weight. You can usually find them really  cheap at garage sale

*****TIP*****

 2. When using solvy or other water soluble topping: If you do not want  to  hoop the solvy with your project,  just lay the solvy on the top and then use just a dab of water in the corners to stick it to your project, that way  it  stays put!

*****TIP*****

3. If you give a lace bowl as a present, include a small napkin that is the same color that coordinates with the bowl and embroider a small matching design on one corner. This way they will have a pretty insert for when they want to use the bowl for something like
cookies and you have given a wonderful matching set!

*****TIP*****

4. When stitching out fringe designs, don't be afraid to cut the bobbin thread. Use either your scissors or a seam ripper and go straight through the middle of the bobbin thread. Then turn design over and pull the top thread through either with your fingers, twizzers or a small lint brush. You can always trim these stitches if you decide they are too long.

5. When you are ready  to do your next embroidery project and want to stabilize your fabric,  it is a great help to use that type of lining that you use for your kitchen shelves (the perforated foam checked pattern ). Cut 4 strips of about 1 1/2 " wide (then adjust with)  in order  that you go around the perimeter within the hoop leaving the four corners of the hoop uncovered for about 1' -2' on each direction depending on the size of the hoop you are using (so that this trick work do not cover the corners at all!).  Then you attach those strips of lining with wonder tape (you can buy  them at Jo Ann's).  When they wear out,  remove and  replace.
