Zenaida was born in the Republic of Panama in Central America. She has the privilege of being the mother of three loving young men.  As the wife of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces she had the opportunity to travel to several countries and came to live in United States by way of England. Now she has settled down to live in sunny Central Florida. As a young girl, she always enjoyed designing and making her own clothes. Drawn by the love for colors, contrasts, and shapes, she would dream occasionally of one day becoming a professional designer. In 2001 she bought the Husqvarna Designer I and soon afterward, embraced the journey of creating embroidery designs to embellish dresses, night gowns, linens, children clothes, etc. She was living in Georgia at the time, and on more than one occasion, while doing her regular visits to the fabric stores, she noticed the new trend for the wearing of handmade handbags. Not finding a pattern for the handbags that would suit her taste, she decided to create her own patterns. To her amazement, she conceived one pattern after another and decided to put them together. In her opinion she thought that they were so special that decided she was not going to keep them to herself.  Consequently, her handbags patterns were bought  by Simplicity Pattern Co. Inc. and currently waiting for them to print the pattern purses in their magazine. As a result, a new website was born with the title: “A Diadem of Beauty” in honor to the King (www.adiademofbeauty.com). We are very happy to introduce it to you.
